If you can smell gas

Do not ring me first. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999, turn the supply off at the meter, open the windows and do not touch any electrical switches. Then call me and I will pick it up from there.

What to have ready

The boiler make and model, any fault code showing, the property address, and whether it is your own home or a let. That is usually enough for me to tell you what is involved before I set off.
